Endowment Fund
The mission endowment fund was established in 1999 by amendment
to the church by-laws. It was created to enhance funding for the
outreach programs of Messiah Lutheran Church.
What is accepted for the fund?
The fund accepts your gifts of cash, stocks, real estate, assigned life
insurance policies, or bequests through wills.
How will endowment gifts be used?
Income from the funds shall be distributed annually to these or other
outreach programs:
For our congregation:
*Seminary student scholarships
*New capital improvements or building projects
For community needs:
*Grants to community centers, food pantries, homeless shelters, etc.
For state and synod needs:
*ELCA colleges and seminaries, Midland, Dana, Bethany, etc.
*Lutheran campus ministries and Lutheran Family Services
For ELCA in America:
*New mission congregations
*World hunger programs and disaster relief
